At around 09:20 on February 21, 2026, one bear entered the garage of a private house in Kobuchino, Nishiki, Semboku City. A man in his 30s who was walking nearby witnessed it; the bear, about 50 cm long, was captured around 14:30, according to Akita Prefectural Police.
