Around 20:00 on April 21, a single bear about 150 cm long was sighted on the grounds of the certified children's center Kodomo no Mori Okanochi Kindergarten in Kagamiishi Town. The bear left the area with no injuries or property damage reported; the Sukagawa Police carried out patrols and vehicle-based surveillance around the kindergarten and nearby school routes on the 22nd.
