In Miwa, Iwakuni City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, one Asiatic black bear (Tsukinowaguma) caught in a trap was shot and culled by the Miwa hunting association in early December. In the western Chugoku Mountains, winter appearances have been increasing, and the hunting association is on the front line of countermeasures.
