A man walking his dog spotted a small bear about 80 cm long on the riverbed of Terasawa River near the Enokida housing complex in Minobu Town and reported it to the town office. The town issued warnings via disaster radio, coordinated patrols with the police, and used fireworks to drive the bear away.
