Around 14:00 on the 21st, an angler spotted a single bear about 1.5 meters long emerge from brush on the riverbed of the Shakadogawa in Nishikawa, Sukagawa City, Fukushima Prefecture. The bear crossed the road and fled into the forest to the north; no damage has been reported. Police and the city office are urging residents to be cautious.
