Around 12:40 p.m. on the 13th, one bear approximately 1 meter in length was sighted in a vacant lot in Hinokinai, Nishiki-machi, Semboku City. The bear was about 50 meters from Hinokinai Elementary School and a junior high school is also nearby; police have urged residents to be cautious.
