A bear about 1 meter long was walking through the rice fields at the edge of the mountain.

Around 07:00 on the 3rd, a single bear cub estimated at 50–60 cm in length was sighted near the Shukugawara Bridge in Sabaishi, Owani Town. The bear soon left toward a nearby river; no damage to crops or facilities was confirmed, and the town office warned residents via disaster radio.

Owani Town, Aomori Prefecture, announced on the 3rd that at around 07:00 a resident sighted one juvenile bear measuring about 50–60 cm near a greenhouse by the Shukugawara Bridge in the Sabaishi area. This is the first bear sighting in the town this year.
