Several children (multiple) on their way home from school sighted an animal believed to be a bear and reported it fled eastward. City officials patrolled the area but did not find it. Body length unknown.

[Report] Observed one Asiatic black bear (approx. 1.2 m in body length) walking along the riverbank. The bear crossed the river and then left into the brush to the north.
