Observed a bear about 1 m long in a field along the road. Its subsequent whereabouts unknown. About 50 m to the nearest house.

[Post] Spotted a cub (60 cm) crossing National Route 398. It then went down to the downstream riverbank of Okumiya River, downstream into the brush and was lost. About 10 m from a house.

Post: While driving on the shrine's back old road, a mother bear rushed out and then a cub appeared. The cub climbed a tree to watch; we honked to drive it away. Both returned to the mountains.
