Just as I was about to step outside the house, I spotted a bear very close by. The police patrolled, but by then it had already left somewhere. Body length about 1 meter.

While driving, I saw an Asian black bear (moon bear) beside the telephone box at the gate of Nishimonai Elementary School. It then ran toward the direction of Ugo Hospital, and its whereabouts after that are unknown. Body length about 1 meter.

During grounds maintenance, footprints were found. Likely from within a few days. There were small footprints nearby, suggesting a mother with offspring.
