Around 13:45 on the 10th, a woman driving on a prefectural road in the mountainous area of Yanai, Yanai City, Yamaguchi Prefecture, reported seeing two bears about 1 meter long running across the road. Police say both appear to be cubs; there are no nearby residences, and officers are warning that the bears may be moving over a wide area and that an adult bear could be nearby.
