Three bears believed to be a mother with offspring were sighted in a rice paddy beside the prefectural road. Distance to the observer about 70 meters; distance to the nearest house about 40 meters.

While driving on a prefectural road, a driver saw what appeared to be a mother bear (about 1.2 m) and a cub (about 60 cm). They were then observed crossing the road from east to west. The observer was about 10 m away; the nearest house about 500 m away.
