Mt. Fujiwara

Around 14:30 on November 21, 2025, on the Fujiwara-dake trail in Yamaguchi, Fujiwara-cho, Inabe City, a man in his 60s descending the mountain spotted a bear about 1 meter long approximately 50 meters ahead. The bear did not flee when firecrackers were set off; the Inabe police mountain rescue team responded, met the man about 2.5 hours later, and he descended by about 18:00 with no injuries.

On November 21 around 14:30 on the Fujiwara-dake trail in Inabe City, Mie Prefecture, a man in his 60s reported seeing a bear about 50 meters ahead while descending and could not continue. Mountain rescue personnel joined him and escorted him down; he was uninjured and the bear was reported to be about 1 meter long.
