Around 09:30 on May 20, a bear approximately 1 meter long was sighted in Okinoura Aonizawa (Okiura), Kuroishi City; no damage was reported. The sighting occurred on the road connecting National Route 102 and the Atsumenai area, and the bear reportedly escaped into the mountains to the north.
