A bear was sighted in Yakusokusawa, Kamisen-do, Ugo Town.

[Report] It appeared from the grassy area south of a house and was looking up at a cherry tree. When we shouted toward it, it turned to face us and stared for several seconds. The bear averted its eyes, then moved around to the west side of the house and ran off toward the forest to the north. We couldn't tell its exact size, but it looked quite plump and the white marking on its chest was clearly visible.

From Yurihonjo City, crossing Tateishi Pass into Ugō Town, found a bear about 80 cm crossing the road. It crossed near nearby houses and headed toward the mountains behind.
