Posted: Three bears emerged from a side road. I was in a car, used high beams, and there was a staring contest for a while.

Post: After hearing a banging sound, I looked from the second floor and saw what appeared to be an adult bear on the embankment. When I clapped and shouted to scare it away, it descended to the near side of the embankment and ran off.
