On Thursday, May 28, at approximately 11:45 p.m., in the road area of Ichikaidō, Sasakino, Fukushima City, a witness (male in his 20s) spotted one bear (approx. 1.5 m in body length) crossing the road while returning home from work. The bear then departed the scene heading west. The witness saw the bear while driving a vehicle.

The police said the animal's body length is unknown, and the sighting occurred near the Fukushima Toyota Crown Arena.
