Multiple footprints were found in the soybean field. They appear to be coming and going from the riverside on the west side. It is believed the animal has appeared several times between Sunday the 14th and today, Thursday the 18th.

Several children (multiple) on their way home from school sighted an animal believed to be a bear and reported it fled eastward. City officials patrolled the area but did not find it. Body length unknown.

While moving from Jūmonji toward Ugo, sighted a bear about 1 m long on the road. The bear headed south. About 20 m from houses.
