Around 22:00 on November 19, 2025, a bear-like animal was sighted in the Tomino Horiguchi district of Joyo City. Related reports note that on the 18th a bear was seen at an apartment bicycle parking area in Kyoto City's Kita Ward, and on the 20th footprints about 25 cm long and 20 cm wide were found on private property in the same ward.
