On 2026-05-11 at around 14:20, a single bear about 2 meters long was filmed walking along a sidewalk beside a national highway in Okoppe Town. After being filmed the bear entered a farm property and then ran into the mountains; police said the same bear had also been sighted in the morning and at night that day and are patrolling the area.
