At about 07:40 on Dec 2, a single bear about 1 meter long was found inside the shed of an unoccupied house in Daigo, Hiraka, Yokote. Prefectural staff used tranquilizer darts (about four shots) and captured the bear around 12:45; it was transported and subsequently euthanized. No injuries were reported.
