At around 20:47 on November 6, 2025, a JR Tadami Line train passing through Kamiaramachi in Yanaizu Town collided with a bear. None of the 10 passengers were injured; the train moved slowly to the nearest station for an inspection and no damage to the body was found. The whereabouts of the bear are unknown.
