Around 11:30 AM on February 16, a patrolling police officer found bear-like footprints on a town road in Mito, Tsubetsu. The prints included multiple sizes, the largest measuring 10 cm wide and 19 cm long, appeared to head toward the mountains, and police are keeping the area under watch.
