Around 01:00 on December 18, a man walking home spotted one bear on the west bank of the Yogo River in Shigenori, Takatsuki-cho, Nagahama City. Later that day at about 20:20, a woman driving on a road near the same area reported seeing a bear about 1 meter long, which headed toward the mountains to the north.
