At around 10:10 a.m. on March 29, in Kamino-yu, Yakumo Town, a man driving along the Yakumo–Atsuzabetsu prefectural road spotted a bear about 1.2 meters long on the left-bank riverbed of the Otobe River and reported it to the Yakumo police.
