At around 07:40 on the 7th, a single bear about 1 meter long was sighted under a persimmon tree in Uematsu, Asakojima, Atami-machi, Kōriyama. The bear fled north toward the Iogawa River; no human injuries or property damage have been confirmed. Police have informed the city and are conducting patrols and public notices in the area.
