On 2025-12-31 at about 08:50, a man in his 60s in Agatsu, Takago, Kitakata City, sighted a roughly 50 cm bear crossing a prefectural road. The bear then entered and roamed the man's property, took shelter under the house for a while, and left before 15:00; no injuries or damage were reported.
