A man driving on the main prefectural road Jōetsu-Iiyama Line, about 1,200 meters from the Sekita settlement in Itakura Ward (about 700 meters from the Hikarigahara Kōgen Center toward the Sekita neighborhood association), sighted a bear crossing the road.
