Tokyo Summerland saw a black bear reported on April 30, 2026 at 16:00 in Hanno Oaza Yagorrashi, where police said a bear like animal about 60 to 70 cm long was seen in the Misugidai area near schools and restaurants. Another close call came on April 25, 2026 at 11:55 in Ōme Katsunuma, where a person spotted one behind a tree on the way back from Ome Railway Park to Ome Station.
