While driving from Yakeyama toward the Hakkoda side, an individual believed to be a cub was walking on the road. When the car slowed down, it hid in the grass and watched us, but after a few seconds it disappeared into the woods.

A dark mass was seen in the direction of travel, and it was in the grassy area beside the road. When I approached on a motorcycle, it ran into the woods.

The bear was in front of the two cars following me, but those two vehicles later avoided the bear and also passed safely. The bear's destination is unknown.

While heading from Sukayu toward Towada, about 200 meters past the golf course entrance a bear came out of the grass onto the road. A motorcycle was coming from the Towada side, so the bear immediately went back into the grass. I parked nearby and confirmed the bear through my window.

While driving on Route 7, I witnessed a bear about 1–1.5 m long trotting crosswise toward the museum and then entering the woods. Other cars slowed and waited for it to cross, so quite a few people must have seen it. I’m reporting this because I didn’t find any sighting information posted.

Approximately 30 m past Yokouchi Garden Chapel on Route 103, a bear appeared coming from the east. It turned around using the Garden Chapel’s west-side chain-link fence and then fled back into the vegetation east of Route 103.

I have confirmed the sounds of a cub several times at the same time of day in the past. I tried posting about it several times before, but it didn’t seem to go through, so although some time has passed since the sighting, I’ll try again.

In the past I’ve repeatedly heard small bears crying around the same time of day. I tried to post about this several times, but it didn’t seem to go through, so although some time has passed since the sighting, I’m trying again.
