Earlier that same day, a bear about 0.5 meters long tried to climb from a rice field up the bypass slope in Senboku Kakunodatemachi Kumoshikari, only about 60 meters from buildings, while another bear about 1.2 meters long was seen in Senboku Kakunodatemachi Yamayakawasaki just 10 meters from a house.
