Around 10:30 on the 30th, a student spotted one bear-like animal in the grass near Kasano Elementary School in Yamakita, Tsubata Town. Town staff and the local hunter association searched the area but found no traces; the town said there was also a sighting around Kariyasu Elementary (about 3 km from the school) on the 28th and asked parents to take children by car.
