The picture is part of the video I recorded less than five minutes away from the sighting. A medium size (young adult) bear was coming down the hill to the left, about 200 meters up ahead from where I was. It got startled by my presence and ran up the hill. It was on the first part of the nakasendo trail where you enter the woods right after you cross the Yo river (heading to Nojiri from Nagiso) .
