Around 4:25 p.m. on July 26, on National Route 49 in Omouzawa, Inawashiro Town, a female witness driving south toward Aizuwakamatsu observed a bear about 50 cm long cross the road from west to east. The bear then moved toward the east toward Lake Inawashiro.
