That latest report fits a run of sightings in the same part of Kyoto City, including Arashiyama in October 2025 and November 2025.
The most active places have been Arashiyama and the western Kyoto neighborhoods of Oharano Kitakasugacho, Oharano Oshiocho, Oharano Haigatacho, Oharano Uebacho, and Oharano Minamikasugacho, with reports centered there rather than spread evenly across the ward.
