On Saturday, June 6 at around 6:30 p.m., in the riverbed area of Sakurauchi, Minamisawamata, Fukushima City, a witness (male in his 40s) observed one animal believed to be a bear (approximately 1 m in body length) moving eastward along the riverbed.
