On Saturday, June 13 at around 9:40 p.m., on National Route 118 in the Matsuyama area of Fukikisaku, Asakawa Town, a witness (male in his 40s) driving toward Asakawa observed one bear (approximately 1 m in body length) slowly crossing the national route from west to east. The bear then walked off toward the mountains.
