Around 5:45 p.m. on September 27, in the Yabuuchi scrub area in Tenuma, Shiozawa Town, Kitakata City, a male witness watching from his home observed a single bear (about 1 m long) moving through the brush. The bear moved through the brush, then headed south and disappeared from view.
