On the morning of the 4th, multiple bear sightings were reported in central Akita City and a bear remained in the parking lot of Round1 Stadium Akita. City and prefectural staff cordoned off the area and, because buildings were nearby, carried out an emergency shooting using a dart gun to neutralize the animal during the morning. The removed animal was a male and no injuries were reported.
