At around 21:30 on April 17, 2026, a man driving on Prefectural Road 274 in Nishi-yama, Samegawa Village, Fukushima, sighted one bear-like animal (approximately 60 cm long) crossing the road. Its whereabouts are unknown and no human or property damage has been reported. Police have stepped up patrols and urged residents to be cautious.
