Post: While on the down train toward Akita on the Ou Main Line, about a minute after leaving Ōhajino Station, sighted a mother bear with cubs. They crossed the tracks from left to right and disappeared into the bushes. A cub's carcass was found a few meters ahead. It is unclear whether the crossing bears were the mother and cubs.
