Around 5:35 p.m. on January 4 (Sunday), in the city road area of Ishimomochi within Fukudato, Sukagawa City, a witness (a man in his 50s) driving a vehicle eastbound on the city road collided with a bear crossing the city road from the north forest (approximately 1 meter in body length). The bear then left the area moving southward.
