Around 21:00 on April 23, 2026, a driver in Fukushimasuka-gawa City, Fukushima Prefecture (Fukushima-ken), observed two animals believed to be bears in Fukawatado Aza Ishibomo. One was about 1 meter long, the other size was unknown; both were seen crossing the road and heading toward the forest. No injuries to people or livestock have been reported, and police have increased patrols.
