On Wednesday, June 10 at around 3:46 p.m., in a forested area along Prefectural Route 52 in Murozawa, Suibara, Matsukawa-machi, Fukushima City, a witness (male in his 70s) spotted one bear (approximately 1 m in body length) while driving. The bear subsequently went deeper into the forest and left the area.
