At around 12:35 PM on April 10, a person driving along the prefectural road (Aizuwakamatsu-Mishima Line) in Kubota, Yanaizu Town, Fukushima, saw a single bear about 0.5 m long run from a ravine up into the mountain forest. No human injuries have been reported; police are patrolling the area and warning residents.
