At around 08:40 on the 22nd, a man in his 60s walking near the entrance parking lot of the Nihonkoku Flower Garden in Hamaikawa, Ikawa Town, Akita Prefecture, saw a bear about 50 cm long and called 110. The bear moved into the rice field to the south, and the Gojome Police Station patrolled by car to keep watch; houses were about 100 meters away.

[Post] A cub about 50 cm crossed Route 285 from the west side of the Shitayachi rice fields to the east into the Tobuka residential area. The Japan National Flower Garden is about 50 meters away, and on a sunny day there were many people strolling.

At around 08:00 on the 15th, a woman in her 60s spotted a single bear about 70 cm long up a persimmon tree on private property in Kitakawashiri Shimomura, Ikawa Town, Akita Prefecture. The sighting was about 300 meters from the Ikawa town office, and the Gojome Police Station has warned residents to be cautious.
