At around 07:25 on November 18, 2025, one bear was spotted in a rice field in Kurokawa, Yokote City by a person in a car. The bear was about 150 meters from Tokiwa Nursery School, and Yokote Police are warning local residents to be cautious.

A bear was sighted in a farmland about 100 m from a municipal road (length unknown). It then ran toward the woods along the Yokote River. Nearest building about 200 m away. (Note: earlier sighting near the Tokihan Nursery School was corrected after inquiry.)

(Trace information) At around 12:30 a.m., there was a thumping sound. When I stepped out to the entrance in the morning, there were paw prints on the glass of the windbreak room that looked like bear tracks (the claws were visible). I also heard animal calls in the nearby forest.
