On Thursday, June 25 at about 5:30 a.m., in a forested area of Oyama Osarakubo, Otama Village, a witness (male in his 70s) observed one bear (approximately 1 meter in body length) walking along the woodland near nearby houses. The bear then left into the forest.

On Wednesday, June 24 at approximately 10:30 a.m., on the Heiwa Line main farm road in Ōzaka, Ōtama Village (Ōyama, Ōsarakkubo area), a witness (male in his 60s) driving a vehicle observed a single bear (about 50 cm in body length) sitting in the woodland adjacent to the road. The bear then ran off east into the forested area.

A witness, while doing laundry, saw one bear (approximately 1 m in body length) heading toward the northern mountain.

Around 08:00 on the 4th, a single bear about 1 meter in length was sighted in a field at Otama-mura, Oyama, Osaraku-bo, and walked toward the forest. No human or property damage has been reported, and police are patrolling the area and urging residents to be cautious.

Around 4 p.m. on November 19, in the Oyama area of Ōyama Village, a witness in their 70s saw a bear in the mountain forest about 1 m long as they were returning home. The bear moved westward into the forest.
