On the 17th, Hiroshima City reported that on the night of the 14th a person returning home by bicycle in Kamiyasu 7-chome, Asaminami Ward, saw an animal resembling a bear enter the mountain from the road. No traces were found during the on-site survey on the 17th, but footprints of a bear were confirmed on a nearby prefectural road on the 7th of this month, so the possibility cannot be ruled out and residents are being urged to be cautious.

Around 07:55 on November 7, 2025, footprints and a sighting of a bear were reported near a prefectural road in Kamiyasu 7-chome, Asaminami Ward, Hiroshima City. The witness reported seeing a bear about 1 meter long, and the city and police have issued warnings.

In June 2025, a camera in the park captured one Asiatic black bear (about 1.2 m long), prompting full closure of the west area. No further confirmations were made after October, and part of the west area reopened on December 19, 2025; access is limited to animal areas and the west area closes at 16:00.
