At around 06:30 on December 28, 2025, a single bear was sighted on the road north of JR Higashi-Sendai Station in Higashi-Sendai 1-chome, Miyagino Ward, Sendai. The bear disappeared to the west; it is unclear whether it is the same individual seen along the Umeda River on the 26th, and no damage has been reported.

Between the night of December 24 and the morning of December 25, multiple bear sightings were reported in the residential area of Higashi-Sendai, Miyagino Ward, Sendai. A bear was seen running west along the river near Haramachi 5-chome, close to the Miyagino Ward Office; no injuries or property damage have been confirmed, and police believe it is the same individual and are preparing capture measures.
